Zabu encountered a younger boy named Kevin Plunder as he was going to be attacked by a gaggle of Male-Apes. Zabu saved Kevin, and the two turned companions. Zabu shielded the boy as he grew to adulthood, and ultimately took on the title Ka-Zar, which suggests "Son of the Tiger". Zabu was brought to in the vicinity of-human intelligence on account o
